Regardless of where you’re staying in Panglao or Bohol, chances are that it may take quite some time to reach Camugao falls by scooter. Despite the long ride, one could argue that the saying “The journey is more important than the destination itself”, applies in this case as well. Well, almost, because this is one of the rare occasions that the destination is just as beautiful as the road that leads to it.

Once you reach the falls, a guide will offer his services to take you down to the waterfall at a fee that you are free to determine. Alternatively, you can also decide to make the descent by yourself. At the time of my visit, there were no other visitors as a lot of tourists are put off by the distance. If you decide to take the trip, you will not be disappointed. Camugao falls are breathtakingly beautiful and the water very refreshing. Plus, insta-worthy pictures are guaranteed.
